WINDOWS MEDIA™ PLAYER 10:
First, install Windows Media Player 10 on your PC. Its included on the Starter CD that comes with your Music Essentials Kit. You can also download the player from here. Make sure your PC is running Windows XP or better and has a USB port.
Browsing online catalog:
1. Launch your Windows Media Player. Look for the V CAST Music icon in the upper right corner. It should open on the V CAST Music store.
2. Begin browsing the store as you would any online shopping experience.
3. To preview, purchase and download songs, sign in using your username and password.
4. You can listen to 30-second previews of any song in the catalog.
Purchasing/Downloading to your PC:
1. Check the box next to the song, songs, or album you want to buy from the V CAST Music store.
2. Select Buy.
3. Confirm Purchase. Amount will be added to your next Verizon Wireless bill.
4. Download song(s).
5. The purchase page keeps a history of all songs ever purchased and downloaded.
6. All downloaded songs will now be found in the Library tab of your Windows Media Player.
Syncing your PC to your V CAST phone:
1. Open Windows Media Player 10.
2. Connect the USB cable (from your Music Essentials Kit) to your PC and phone.
Note: Please install the phone's USB drivers from your Music Essentials kit before connecting the USB cable to your PC.
3. On your phone menu, go to Get Tunes & Tones within Get It Now and select Sync Music. Wait to receive the confirmation Connected on your phone's screen.
4. To begin creating your sync list, drag the song file from the left panel (your PC song library) to the right panel. You can sync songs that are in the following format: WMA, MP3 or WAV. This includes songs purchased from the V CAST Music store.
5. When you have completed building your sync list, select Start sync in Windows Media player 10.
Note: Your V CAST music phone plays songs only in the WMA format. If your sync list includes songs in other formats such as MP3 or WAV, Windows Media Player automatically translates this copy to WMA during sync.
6. When sync is complete, press END on your phone's keypad and disconnect the phone from the USB cable.
Playing songs on your PC:
1. Just open the application and go to the library containing all the music you have either ripped or purchased online.
2. Select the song, album, or playlist you want to hear and press Play.
3. Sit back and enjoy the music.
